Jeffrey G. Becker was appointed President of the Beer Institute in 1999,
after serving for more than 11 years as Vice President and Director of the Institute’s Office of Alcohol Issues.
The Beer Institute represents large and small brewers, importers, and industry suppliers.
As a national advocate and spokesman for the brewing industry,
Mr. Becker represents the industry in state and federal legislative settings.
He is also a familiar voice in print and broadcast media throughout the United States on issues affecting the industry.
Mr. Becker currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Commission Against Drunk Driving,
and the Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition.
He is also a member of the US Chamber of Commerce's Committee of 100,
a group comprised of the country’s leading association Chief Executives.
Before joining the Beer Institute, he was the National Director of the Techniques of Alcohol Management for the National Licensed Beverage Association.
Mr. Becker holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saginaw Valley State University.
He resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife Brenda and their two children Megan and Max.
