Michelle Lehman joined the National Association of Broadcasters as executive vice president of marketing and communications in 2006. Michelle is responsible for advancing the NAB brand by elevating the organization’s image before key audiences, as well as coordinating both internal and external communications. In this role, Michelle oversees the graphic design team, public service campaigns, NAB Web sites, the information and research group, executive communications and the campaign to educate consumers on the upcoming digital television transition.

Prior to joining NAB, Michelle served as vice president of public affairs at the National Beer Wholesalers Association. In this capacity, she was chief communications officer, responsible for outreach to media on issues of importance to the beer industry. Additionally, she oversaw production and distribution of the association’s publications and successful audio and video public service campaigns.

Michelle began her career in Washington, D.C. working as press secretary for Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA).

She then served as associate director of technology policy for Dittus Communications, a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm, supporting clients with strategic media relations to bolster their public policy initiatives.

Michelle also served as press secretary to the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee under the leadership of former Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN).

Michelle resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband David.
