"The TEAM Coalition effort to contribute to a safe and exciting fan experience benefits us all - the fans, players and sports leagues alike. TEAM recognizes that most fans come out to enjoy the thrill of competition, and that irresponsible alcohol use can detract from that experience. By engaging us all in this effort and rewarding positive fan behavior TEAM scores!”

Thank you to all the participants at our recent IDP workshop at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI. 5 trainers became certified and 3 trainers recertified. Workshop participants represented the Detroit Tigers, Ovations Food Services, Levy Restaurants and Knight Facility Management at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

For many of our trainers the first four months of the calendar year are your busiest training months. They are definitely our busiest months for exam processing. Given how busy things are, we just want to make sure you notice the TEAM Refresher Course materials which are being sent along with all the certification and retake forms you receive. The Refresher Course gives you new tools with which to share the highlights of TEAM training with your employees. There are printed materials as well as video scenes. We hope you find these materials as well as all the online training tools valuable. And we are doing our very best to process your exams as quickly as possible. Keep them coming!

For the eighth consecutive year TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) was an exhibitor at the 2011 Lifesavers Conference held on March 27-29 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ promoting the message of responsible fan behavior to highway safety officers, administrators, and exhibitors alike.

TEAM Coalition offered photos to conference attendees with the photo borders used by TEAM Coalition to reward responsible fans at premier events surrounding championship and all-star events for major league sports. All the photo borders included the logos of state offices of highway safety which partnered with TEAM and the leagues for these events.

TEAM Coalition has worked with the following state offices of highway safety in recent years...among many others!

TEAMUp2Win!® is the newest initiative from TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) that works to prevent drunk driving by encouraging everyone to have a designated driver. This year over 1,000 NCAA basketball fans participated.

Everyone who made the Responsibility Has Its Rewards pledge had a chance to win one of two Grand Prize Trips to either Indianapolis, IN for the 2011 NCAA® Women's Final Four® or to Houston, TX for the 2011 NCAA® Men's Final Four®.

Congratulations to Daniel Cooley, winner of the 2011 TEAMUp2Win! Men's Final Four Prize and Tanya Husick, winner of the 2011 TEAMUp2Win! Women's Final Four Prize!

TEAM Coalition was invited to participate for its eighth year in the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, NV on April 11-13. NBA RHIR Sweepstakes TEAM Coalition and the National Basketball Association are supporting the designated-driver programs at all NBA arenas during the 2010/11 season with a special incentive. Every arena offers fans a designated-driver program. Fans who register to be a designated-driver pledge to not drink alcohol, drive their friends and family home safely, and ensure that everyone always buckles up.

With the regular season complete, we are reaching out to each NBA team and collecting their total number of fans who pledged to be designated-drivers. That number is over 62,000 with several teams still left to report. We are also reaching out to the randomly selected designated drivers representing each NBA team. The NBA Designated Drivers for the Season representing the teams playing in the 2011 NBA Finals will each receive a grand prize of two (2) tickets to the first game of the 2011 NBA Finals® played in the arena of their favorite team. This sweepstakes is proof once again that responsibility really does have its rewards!

NBA RHIR Sweepstakes Very similar to the NBA Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes, TEAM Coalition and the National Hockey League are supporting the designated-driver programs at all NHL arenas with a very unique reward for the league's most responsible fans.

For the randomly selected Designated Drivers for the Season representing each NHL team, a grand prize drawing the will select one lucky fan to attend the 2012 NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa, ON.

So far more than 59,000 designated drivers have been reported league-wide with several teams still left to provide their tallies.

As the season progresses, TEAM will report the standings for the designated-driver program for each Club. Additionally, the site is a resource for all the responsibility initiatives in place with each MLS club including their Code of Conduct, designated-driver program details and alcohol service policies.
