The Responsibility Has Its Rewards (RHIR) promotion sizzled this summer by expanding into new territory like the NCAA Men's College World Series and by continuing to revisit successful events of the past such as the MLB All-Star FanFest.
Fans were asked to pledge to always have a designated driver, never drive drunk,
and wear their safety belts. All fans who participated in the promotion had the opportunity to
film their own traffic safety public service message in addition to receiving a free souvenir photo. In the last six months, ten RHIR events have reached thousands of fans.

About once a month in 2007, TEAM hosts Instructor Development Program (IDP) workshops at
sports and entertainment facilities across the country. By attending and passing the trainer certification exam,
facility and concessionaire managers become certified TEAM trainers for a period of two years. Trainers receive
all the materials necessary to conduct team training in effective alcohol management at their facility for their
staff. Please let us know if you are interested in hosting a future IDP. The host receives two free registrations.
Here is the schedule of upcoming workshops:
- September 11th and 12th in Fayetteville, NC at Crown Center
- October 3rd and 4th in Anaheim, CA at Honda Center
- January 15th and 16th in Milwaukee, WI at Miller Park

Here are a few tips to keep in mind for your next TEAM training session:
- Moved recently? Planning on switching facilities? Or have you left the industry altogether? Please drop us a line to keep us abreast of your professional whereabouts.
- Please make note that all exam results and mail correspondence should be sent to us at:
TEAM Coalition
1800 Diagonal Road, Suite 600
Alexandria, VA 22314
- Various training materials and documents are available through our website. Log in using your trainer ID and email address.
- Trainers can print replacement TEAM certification cards. Again, this is available through our website accessed by logging in as a trainer.
- When ordering training manuals, please place the order as far in advance as possible in order to ensure their availability. Additionally, please allow at least ten business days for us to process any exam forms you send in.
- Make sure all exams are stacked together and facing the same direction. Evaluation forms should be stacked together in a separate pile.
- In order to expedite exam processing, we ask that you group together the exams of the different organizations or non-profits participating in the session.
- A reminder that TEAM participant manuals and exam questions are available in Spanish, French and Portuguese upon request.
- Be sure to include a completed session roster with every set of training session exams you submit to TEAM.
We would appreciate any additional feedback or best practices you would like to share.
