Happy New Year from TEAM!
The Responsibility Has Its Rewards (RHIR) promotion continued throughout the fall and winter months expanding into new territory like the NCAA Men's College DIVISION I Football Championship in Chattanooga, TN and by continuing to revisit successful events of the past such as the MLS Cup Soccer Celebration.
Fans were asked to pledge to always have a designated driver, never drive drunk,
and wear their safety belts. All fans who participate in the RHIR promotions have the opportunity to
film their own traffic safety public service message or receive a free souvenir photo. In the last six months, eight RHIR events have reached thousands of fans.
RHIR Firsts: The autumn of 2008 brought some firsts to the Responsibility Has Its Rewards campaign. TEAM traveled to Anaheim, CA to film their first ever NHL public service announcements with the Anaheim Ducks. Shortly after, TEAM traveled north to Detroit, MI and filmed the first ever multi-sport back to back fan filming events with the Detroit Red Wings and then the first ever NBA public service announcement with the Detroit Pistons!

Every year since 2002 TEAM recognizes sports teams, concessionaires, and individual trainers for their commitment to responsible alcohol management, and 2008 was another record breaking year!
Over 33,000 employees from sports and entertainment facilities became TEAM certified in 2008. Sports team and concessionaire company winners are selected based on the number of staff certified in effective alcohol management relative to the total number of game day employees. Trainers are recognized for the total number of employees they certify in the TEAM program.

Included in the marketing materials are web graphics, press releases, a fact sheet, and video PSAs. All materials are available for state offices of highways safety to utilize in their drunk driving prevention efforts around Super Bowl.

Additional Questions Ever wonder if you could use those extra answer spaces on the TEAM certification exam to ask your employees questions about their job satisfaction, how they view fan behavior, what ideas they have to improve the guest experience, or anything else you want to know? Well, the answer is, "What are you waiting for?"
Trainers who certify their staff in TEAM Level 2, have 20 additional answer spaces to use for any other multiple-choice questions you want to ask.
Trainers certifying their staff in TEAM Level 1, have 30 answer spaces to use.
To protect your confidentiality, TEAM will not store your questions or answers in the TEAM database. We will tabulate the answers your employees give and provide you with the results. There is no cost to trainers for this additional data analysis.
We hope you take advantage of this great opportunity to learn from your employees!
