TEAM is proud to announce the new slate of officers that will serve for the next two years. Marc Bruno, President of ARAMARK Sports, Entertainment and Conventions, was announced as Chairman of the Board. Earnell Lucas, Vice President of Security and Facility Management for MLB, will serve as Vice Chairman. Dexter King, President and CEO of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM), will serve as Treasurer. And Evan Dabby, Senior Director of Operations for Major League Soccer, joined the officers as Secretary. Click here to read the full press release.


Trainers, please login to your trainer account at www.teamcoalition.org to see your training history and search for employees who may be TEAM-certified. You can update your contact information as well. TEAM is committed to keep all trainer certifications stay active so you can continue to conduct training and certify employees in the TEAM program. Online trainer recertification is available for eligible trainers. The requirements are as follows:

  • Trainer must have certified 80 or more participants or held a minimum of 4 training sessions during their current certification period

  • Trainer must be within 60 days of their expiration date

  • Trainer must have most recently attended a TEAM Instructor Development Program (available every other certification period)
If you are eligible for the online exam, an option to "Recertify Online" will automatically appear within your TEAM trainer account at www.teamcoalition.org 60 days prior to your expiration date.


TEAM will be heading to Anaheim early in the month to participate once again in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game and FanFest. TEAM will be at the Anaheim Convention Center beginning on July 9th through July 13th. Fans can stop by the booth and pledge to always have a designated driver, never drive drunk and always buckle up. In return for their pledge, fans will receive a free souvenir photo to commemorate the event. Fans will also be in the running to win daily prizes. Check here for FanFest dates and times.

In addition, Edward Rosenthal, Designated Driver for the Season from the Chicago White Sox will be traveling to Anaheim as the All-Star Game winner from the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes. Edward will receive roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, a pair of tickets to the Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, State Farm Home Run Derby and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, courtesy of TEAM Coalition and Major League Baseball. Congratulations to Edward and the record 360,000 Designated Drivers from the 2009 Season!


At the end of July, TEAM will head to Houston, TX to attend the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The MLS All-Stars will take on Manchester United from the English Premier League on Wednesday, July 28th in what promises to be an exciting match. Before the match kicks off, TEAM will be a part of Soccer Celebration outside of Reliant Stadium. Fans who stop by the booth and take the pledge to be responsible will receive a free souvenir photo along with a lanyard photo holder to display their photo as they head into the game.

Larry Gloss, Designated Driver for the Season from the Colorado Rapids was selected as the All-Star Game winner of the Responsibility Has Its Rewards Sweepstakes and will receive roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game courtesy of TEAM Coalition and Major League Soccer.

TEAM and Live Nation are partnering with NHTSA and the HERO Campaign for a second straight year to offer designated-driver booths at 3 Live Nation venues in the northeast. The Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, Festival Pier in Philadelphia, PA and PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ will offer fans the opportunity to pledge to be the designated driver that night for their friends and family. In return, those fans who pledge are entered for a chance to be selected as the Designated Driver for the Season from each venue and will win tickets a concert of their choosing the following year. TEAM is also seeking volunteers to help staff the designated-driver booths at the three venues. It was the final year that the NCAA Men's College World Series was played at Rosenblatt Stadium. And for TEAM Coalition, it was the fourth consecutive year to be part of the Fan Fest activities outside the stadium prior to each day's games. In addition to fans who made the pledge and received a free souvenir photo, TEAM and the NCAA gave away a pair of tickets to each of the games on the following days to a lucky fan who pledged to be responsible.



So far in 2010, ten IDP workshops have been conducted at sports and entertainment facilities across the country.
