As the NFL season is now in full swing, the message of responsibility is even stronger in all 31 NFL stadiums. The “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk" message appears on all beer cups at NFL venues providing a fun and creative way to promote the message of always having a designated driver when attending NFL games. This season, the NFL and TEAM have set a goal of having 200,000 fans pledge to be designated drivers. And we are tracking our progress each week. Click here to view the Designated Driver Standings so far. TEAM and the NFL have been hard at work getting the word out about this very important initiative. Click on the links below to view articles regarding the efforts.

TEAM and MillerCoors are joining together at 4 HBCU Classics this fall to offer fans a unique opportunity to pledge to be responsible football fans.

Fans that pledged to never drive drunk and always have a designated driver received a souvenir photo with a specially designed border for the event. Over 400 fans visited the Coors Light pre-game tailgate party at each event to receive their photo and take home a reminder to always be a responsible fan during the 2009 college football season.

This October will mark the end of the first year of the partnership between TEAM, Live Nation, NHTSA, and the HERO Campaign offering concertgoers at 10 venues in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut had the opportunity to pledge to be the designated driver for their friends and family. Each venue will randomly select one person as the designated driver for that particular venue for the summer season and will receive a pair of tickets to a show at the venue for the 2010 summer concert season.

One grand prize winner will be selected as the 2009 Designated Driver of the Season and will win a trip to a show of their choosing in 2010 at any participating Live Nation venue anywhere in the country. Thanks to all the venues for making this a very successful first year and we are already looking forward to the 2010 summer concert series! The NFL Preseason was a busy time for TEAM as we visited 8 NFL cities to film fan PSAs. The New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals all welcomed TEAM to help fans echo the message responsibility as they support their favorite team. We look forward to those PSAs being shown in-stadium during the remaining regular season games at those stadiums reminding fans to always designate a driver. Thank you to those NFL teams that filmed PSAs this season!

TEAM is excited to welcome the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) to the list of member organizations that are committed to promoting responsible fan behavior at sports and entertainment venues across the country. NBWA represents the interests of America’s 2,850 licensed, independent beer distributor operations in every state, congressional district and media market across the country. Beer distributors are committed to ensuring alcohol is provided safely and responsibly to consumers of legal drinking age through the state-based system of alcohol regulation and distribution.
