(Chicago, IL) TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management)
proudly recognized the 2009 training certification and designated-driver program award winners
at the NFL Security Conference June 11, 2010.
TEAM Coalition is a unique alliance of professional and collegiate sports, entertainment facilities,
concessionaires, stadium service providers, the beer industry, broadcasters, governmental traffic safety experts,
and others working together to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at

“We’re especially proud of the breadth of the
winners of our training certification awards this season,” said Jill Pepper, TEAM executive director. “To have
nine organizations - five teams and four staffing companies - earn training awards is truly remarkable.
It is a testament to the NFL's commitment to employee training and its positive impact on fan behavior.”
In 2009, nearly 33,000 employees from NFL stadiums were TEAM-certified.

Prestigious Achievement
These award winners have made TEAM training a fundamental part of employee training. Of their entire employee roster,
at least 90% are certified in TEAM training. On an annual basis, they maintain that commitment to TEAM training by
certifying all new employees and recertifying those whose 3-year certification term has expired.
- Buffalo Bills, 297 employees certified
- Denver Broncos, 256 employees certified
- New England Patriots, 584 employees certified
- Philadelphia Eagles, 66 employees certified
Championship Performance
These award winners certified 100% of the employees
needed to staff an average game.
- Elite Show Services, Qualcomm Stadium (home of the San Diego Chargers), 927 employees certified
Excellent Performers
These award winners certified the number of operations employees this season equal to at least 50% of the number of employees
needed to staff an average game.
- Pittsburgh Steelers, 192 employees certified
- Argus Staffing, INVESCO Field at Mile High (home of the Denver Broncos), 239 employees certified
- CSC, Ralph Wilson Stadium (home of the Buffalo Bills), 303 employees certified
- S.A.F.E. Management, University of Phoenix Stadium (home of the Arizona Cardinals), 233 employees certified

Over 152,000 NFL fans pledged to be designated drivers during the 2009 season. That is a 9% increase over the 140,000 designated drivers in 2008.
The Designated Drivers for the Season from the New Orleans Saints, Lloyd Crochet, and the Indianapolis Colts, Melissa Stoval, attended Super Bowl XLIV
as the grand prize winners of the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes for designated drivers.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said, “The NFL strongly supports the TEAM program, and we are proud to be a member of the TEAM Coalition.”
