The TEAM Coalition and Major League Soccer joined together in support of designated driver
programs at all MLS stadiums during the 2008 season with a special
incentive.
Fans who registered to be a designated driver pledged to not drink alcohol,
drove their friends and family home safely, and ensured that everyone
always buckled up.
At the end of the season, one designated driver was
selected from each team to represent it as the designated driver for the season. The selected
designated drivers from the teams that competed in MLS Cup™ 2008 on
November 23, 2008 each received
two (2) tickets to the game, roundtrip airfare, and hotel accommodations.Click here for last year's winners.
A trip to the 2009 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game™ will also be awarded to one of the designated drivers
selected for the season whose team does not play in MLS Cup™ 2008.
This prize will be awarded after the Eastern and Western Conference Champions are determined. The 2009 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game™ trip includes two (2) tickets to

To promote this incentive, TEAM produced TV and radio PSAs. The TV
PSAs aired on local broadcast stations in MLS markets, and they were
also played on the video boards in MLS stadiums. The radio PSAs
